‘Veil’, oil on canvas. 30 x 40cm.
Framed in a white tray frame.
I was thinking of Leonardo da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi whilst painting this. The way that he painted the ghostly face of Christ looking directly at you is haunting and quite moving. The woman in my painting is completely fictional—she appeared whilst I was painting.
